     克里斯托弗?J. 贝瑞（Christopher J. Berry），英国格拉斯哥大学政治理论教授，爱丁堡皇家学会会员，是从事政治哲学及苏格兰启蒙运动研究的国际著名学者，已出版Human Nature（1986），The Idea of Democratic Community（1989），The Idea of Luxury:  A Conceptual and Historical Investigation（1994），Social Theory of the Scottish Enlightenment（1997）等专著，其中《奢侈的概念》、《苏格兰启蒙运动的社会理论》已译成中文出版。
