主讲人简介:
Professor Enrico Palandri is Reader in Italian Literature and Writer in Residence at University College London (UCL).
He had been working in Rome on a film script from his first novel Boccalone (1979). He became part-time language assistant in the Italian Department at University College London in 1981 and two years later part-time lecturer. Between 1982 and 1985 he had been language coaching for several opera productions at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden and the recordings of Rossini's Maometto II (Philips) and Verdi's I Masnadieri (Decca). In 1986, he finished a film script Diavolo in corpo with Marco Bellocchio, and began regular collaboration with newspaper Il mattino, Naples (subsequently for Esquire, l'Indipendente, L'Unità, Il diario della settimana, Rolling Stone). During two years spent in Italy (Milan), he wrote a third novel, translating, working for Radio Popolare, at the same time, together with Pier Vittorio Tondelli, Alain Elkann and Elisabetta Rasy, member of founding group of Panta, a literary magazine published in Milan by Bompiani. In 1990, he became appointed Writer in Residence at UCL and regular contributor to the Italian National Radio (RAI) and BBC world service (radio and TV). He gave lecture course on Italian literature in Cambridge University, Faculty of Modern and Mediaeval Languages from 1995-98. He became director of the Centre for Italian Studies and Reader in Italian Literature in UCL in the year of 2002, and Professore Associato di Teoria della Letteratura (Universita' di Venezia 'Ca' Foscari') in 2007.
